A Month of events!

October was a very busy month! I had the opportunity to present in front of 3,000 people at Microsoft’s 2nd annual Business Intelligence Conference, during Stephen Elop’s keynote, President of Microsoft Business Division. Check out the presentation here and script here.

After the conference, Joey and I travelled the world to discuss Performance Management at the BPM Summit in New York (here), the Enterprise CIO Summit (here), as well as lecturing at the Cranfield School of Management in London (here) and Palladium’s North American’s Summit in San Diego (here).

Also, take a look at a recent interview I gave to the B-EYE network on Business Intelligence and a feature of our methodology on the Successfactors site:

  • B-eye network interview here (3 mins)
  • Listen to People Performance Radio interview here where Joey Fitts (profile) and I (profile) discuss “Drive Business Performance: Enabling a Culture of Intelligent Execution”.

Monday

New Performance Management Book!

Drive Business Performance will be available at your local bookstore (Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc.) by April 25, 2008.

However, you can pre-order it now for 40% off from Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

Drive Business Performance explains the competitive advantage experienced by organizations that create and manage a "Culture of Performance." It is filled with first-hand accounts from Fortune 500 companies who are winning by building accountability, intelligence, and informed decision-making into their organizational DNA. The book aims to demystify performance management and is jargon-free.

We were very fortunate to have Drs. Robert Kaplan & David Norton, creators of the Balanced Scorecard management methodology, contribute the Foreword.
